  • “Designing Persuasive Communications”

    Bonnie B. Reece teaches MKT407. She is professor and chairperson emerita of the Michigan State University Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Retailing.

    This multidisciplinary seminar covers principles of persuasion; persuasion strategy and tactics; and the social impact of persuasion campaigns. Students investigate the form and content of persuasive mass communication. The course provides them with the skills needed for understanding both the business and the techniques of persuasion.

  • NEW - “Leveraging Industrial Design for Marketing Advantage”

    (MKT627) Taught by Adjunct Lecturer Terry Duncan, an Industrial Designer for Ford Motor Company. He has taught for many years at Detroit College of Creative Studies. It was developed in tandem with the Marketing Area at the Ross School of Business. The course analyzes the contribution of Industrial Design to the Marketing and Branding success of companies such as Apple, SONY, IBM, Samsung and many others. It helps marketing students systematically build their skills in this area.
